Well Johannes: it was great to have you with us, too bad that you signed in for another studio. We hope, you won’t regret this move Anyway. At Totems Johannes was the MASTERPLAN. He knew every single screw at the German Pavilion. He was the chief of details. He enriched the Totems team with his sharp sense of humor. In short: It was a great pleasure working with him.

We are ready for the new competition! The task is to come up with an idea for the architectural and environmental design of an insects exhibition.

Sara is back from down under! Finally! Because we need that girl, urgently. She will bring some order in our chaos. The pic you see is something really characteristic for female abroad students… “Isn’t that sweeeeeet? A snuffi, humpty dumpty Koala…!” HEY! Don’t think that these animals are everywhere. You must be lucky to recognize a slight movement of that thing. Koalas sleep all day long. They stink and are boooooring! Anyway: if you need more information about OZ. Sara will be happy to assist ya. Cheers.

The bottle is labled with “vergorene Stutenmilch”. That means in english: fermented mare milk, I guess?! Uli and Fabian had a sip of that stuff and – what a surprise – it didn’t tast that bad. Wanna have a try? Contact Uli for more unusual and experimental food…

Do you know the story of the “Dodo bird”? You don’t? That’s good! Because that’s how Chris must have felt when he presented a possible design solution for a detail in the ride at the Expo project.

At Totems we help each other! We are not snobby at all and we are always trying to be gentlemen. In this case Achim helps Mrs Fischer (an incredible woman who keeps the studio nice and neat) to push the giant paper pin at its right place. Achim: you are such a good boy! We are proud of ya, honest!

This is what happens when you drink and drive. At the Stuttgart Media Days the overall design was stuffed with orange balloons. Steffen and Chris thought: “What a great item to pimp your car with!” And that’s how it looked like… kind of stupid…
